DESCRIPTION:READY? SET…. GO! \nIs your new year’s resolution to get active? Now’s the time to crush those goals! Westly’s 8th Annual 5K is a great way to start. Let’s get moving together – in person or virtually! Register for one\, or both (must register twice separately) if you want double the 5K fun! \n* Please note the prize details below\, as some of our guidelines have changed. \nIn-Person 5K Option: \nWant to complete 3.1 miles with an awesome group? Join us on Saturday\, January 25th at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center in Oakland! Walk\, run\, or bike a 5K as a community. All ages\, strollers\, and even pups are welcome! The race will begin at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland\, with check-in at 8:00am\, warm-ups at 9:15am\, and race kick off at 9:30am. \nThe 5k walk/run will end at Oakland’s Speer Park where Healthy West Orange will be there at Oakland’s Heritage Day Festival! It’s a great way to get connected to community and learn about new and healthy options and resources in West Orange County!! \nVirtual 5K Option: \nHere’s how a virtual 5K works: register first\, then complete 3.1 miles between January 1-31 at your own pace\, wherever you like\, whenever you like. Want to bike the West Orange Trail? Sweet. Hike at Oakland Nature Preserve? Do it. Rollerblade around your neighborhood? We support you. If you want to break it up into segments\, by all means – go for it! Tell your family and friends\, because it’s open to all ages. \nNo need to track your miles – we go by the honor system and are here to encourage you to get moving. We always love it when folks send in their finish line photos when they complete their 5K virtually! Once the quantities are out\, they are out. Participants who have registered for their T-shirt size will receive them at Check-In on race day. If you DO NOT want a T-shirt\, please select “None” when registering to leave more for those who do want them. Medals are reserved for in-person 5K participants only. Medals will be distributed to participants at the Finish Line on 5K day! \nVirtual 5K T-shirts: \nT-shirts for virtual participants will be first come\, first served when registering.
