SUMMARY:Free Cholesterol Awareness Screenings
DESCRIPTION:The Orange County Medical Clinic (OCMC)\, a division of Orange County Government\, has announced it will provide free health screenings for adults from September 10–12\, 2025 in recognition of National Cholesterol Awareness Month. \nThe County Outreach Awareness Community Health (COACH) team will conduct the screenings inside a mobile medical unit\, located in the OCMC parking lot. Services will include checks for blood pressure\, blood sugar\, and cholesterol levels. \nFor individuals whose results show elevated numbers\, staff will connect them with resources through the Primary Care Access Network (PCAN)—a coalition of healthcare providers dedicated to expanding access to medical care for uninsured and underinsured residents in Orange County. \n“It is imperative for people to be aware of their cholesterol levels\,” Jessica Rodriguez\, division manager for OCMC said in a press release. “High cholesterol symptoms are not always obvious\, but can lead to more serious health complications like heart attacks and strokes.
