Go right ahead! This is a family friendly event so please dress and act accordingly. \nOur Sponsors will have trick-or-treat stations and we will have some cool critters out. \nCalling All Jack-O-Lantern Enthusiasts \nWe want to display your talent! Make them fun\, make them scary\, the choice is yours! \nWant to paint your pumpkin? Great! We will add your creation to the Painted Pumpkin Patch!  \nPlease let us know you want to bring a Jack-o-lantern or painted pumpkin by completing a free registration. \nNew this year – join us the evening of October 23 to carve pumpkins on the porch and greet our Ambassador Salamander Dart! \nParking: Parking is along the driveway\, in the lot outside of the gate.  Also use Family Christian School parking lot. \nAdmission: Admission to the ONP Pumpkin Glow is donation based\, all proceeds will benefit the Oakland Nature Preserves mission:  \nTo promote an understanding of the fragile balance between mankind and the environment by educating visitors about Lake Apopka basin’s ecosystems and cultural history\, and by restoring and conserving the lands within the Preserve.

SUMMARY:Oakland Nature Preserve Pumpkin Glow
DESCRIPTION:Join us for what could be West Orange county’s only nighttime Jack-o-lantern hike.  The Oakland Nature Preserve’s Glow Trail will be lined with Jack-o-lanterns created by members of the community creating an ethereal and beautiful night-time hike.  Donation proceeds will benefit the Oakland Nature Preserve. \nThis year’s trail will begin at the south end of the boardwalk and then proceed along the winding Green Trail back to the ONP parking area (approx. .3 miles). Bring your flash lights and lanterns ’cause its dark in them there woods. \nWant to dress in costume? Go right ahead! We will have candy for the kids and some cool critters to see. This is a family friendly event so please dress and act accordingly. \nCalling All Artists and Jack-o-lantern Enthusiasts \nWe want to display your talent! Bring us your Jack-o-lantern for display. Make them fun\, make them scary\, the choice is yours! All pumpkins submitted will be available for pick up the day after the event. Any pumpkins left behind will be shared with our program animals for enrichment.  \nJack-o-lanterns must be carved with light inside for illumination\, please use battery powered lighting\, no open flames\, we want to keep the habitat safe. \nWant to paint your pumpkin? DESCRIPTION:Explore the outdoors and get your steps in during our West Orange Walkers March meetup! On March 12\, we’ll meet at the Oakland Nature Preserve for walk down the Healthy West Orange Boardwalk. Join us to enjoy beautiful views of plants\, flowers\, butterflies\, animals\, and an overlook of Lake Apopka. The Boardwalk is handicap accessible\, so wheelchairs\, strollers\, and walkers can easily navigate the walk. There are shaded seating areas throughout to take a break.\n\nHealthy West Orange\, Orlando Health\, and the YMCA of Central Florida have come together to offer monthly meetups\, 5ks\, and breakfasts\, all across West Orange\, and all year long!
