Every January, Healthy West Orange challenges the community to complete a 5K in one of 2 ways – either virtual, or with an awesome group at our in-person event.

The virtual option is easy, and perfect if you can’t make our in-person event. All you have to do is complete 3.1 miles between January 1-31 at your own pace, wherever you like, whenever you like. Want to bike the West Orange Trail? Sweet. Hike at Oakland Nature Preserve? Do it. Rollerblade around your neighborhood? We support you. If you want to break it up into segments, by all means – go for it! Tell your family and friends, because it’s open to all ages.

Interested instead in completing the 5K together? Walk, run, or bike a 5K as a community at our live event. All ages, strollers, and even pups are welcome! It’s a great way to connect with your neighbors and friends, and make a bunch of new friends in the process. It’s like a turbo boost of energy that leaves you feeling strong and unstoppable.
