No auditions—just a welcoming group of people ready to have fun, make new friends, and create something special together.

Who can participate?
Adults 18+ are welcome to participate in this no-audition choir.
When does the choir rehearse?
Six rehearsals will be held Wednesday mornings, mid-August through mid-September, 10 am – 11:30 am.

Where will the choir rehearse?
Rehearsals will be held at the Healthy West Orange Building at 1200 East Plant Street, 2nd Floor, Winter Garden, 34787.
When will the showcase be?
The Showcase Performance will be Sunday, September 20th (afternoon, exact time TBD) in Winter Garden.
Friends and family are welcome.
Admission is free of charge.
Who will be directing the choir?
Dr. Jeffery Redding, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at UCF will be directing the choir. He is also the 2019 GRAMMY Music Educator Award recipient.
Prior to his appointment at UCF, Dr. Redding served as Director of Choral Activities at West Orange High School and West Virginia University. He has been featured individually as a guest conductor at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Orchestra Hall, and has delivered a TEDx Talk. He is also one of the conductors for Walt Disney World’s Candlelight Processional at Epcot and the conductor of Harmonious Live! on Disney Plus.
Dr. Redding has led choirs in performances at national, regional, and state conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), earning top awards at prestigious festivals.
Additionally, Dr. Redding frequently collaborates with the NFL, having conducted performances of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” for the 2024 and 2025 Pro Bowls and the 2025 Super Bowl, as well as co-preparing choirs for the 2025 and 2026 NFL Drafts.
He is the founder and Artistic Director of the Winter Garden Community Choir and the Orlando Choral Society.
Dr. Redding holds a Ph.D. in Choral Conducting/Music Education and a Master of Music Education from Florida State University, and a B.S. in Music Education from Florida A&M University.
What is the cost to join the choir?
The cost to participate in the choir is $37.00 and covers the cost to license the music.
