It’s the time of season to head to the stores for holiday gifts, decorations and more! It is inevitable that shopping trips last longer than expected and tummies start to grumble. Be prepared and not caught off guard this year with these quick holiday nibbles.
Trail Mix
Add spice to a mixture of dried fruit and nuts for a quick holiday bite.
- Pecans
- Dried cherries
- Pumpkin seeds
- Dark chocolate chips
- Cinnamon & Nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice
Spiced Kettle Corn
Turn kettle corn into a new holiday favorite to munch on.
- 94% fat free kettle corn
- Craisins
- Walnuts
- Cinnamon
Peppermint Mocha
Save calories, time and money by making your own peppermint mocha at home!
- ¼ cup 1% milk
- ¾ cup strong brewed coffee
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar (or ¼ packet stevia or monk fruit)
- 3 drops peppermint extract
If you are crunched on time, plan ahead to purchase snacks. Try roasted cocoa dusted almonds, freeze dried cinnamon apples, or an applesauce fruit pouch. If looking to a snack bar for a quick bite, choose one with a fruit or nut base and only a few ingredients.
Stay healthy and enjoy your holidays with foods that nourish and fuel you through this busy time.
