We’re Wishing You Happy, Healthy Holidays this December
With the holiday season upon us, there are more than enough challenges to keep us from being healthy. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves. Healthy holidays are about all the small choices you can make to end the year a healthier, happier you.
Juggling holiday shopping, cooking, cleaning, and entertaining guests, leaves little time to prepare a healthy meal or fit in some exercise. Staying healthy can feel like a lot of work this time of year. Good news! It’s not about being perfect, but more about moderation and avoiding the pitfalls of the season. And it’s not only diet, but our physical and mental health as well.
In need of a mindfulness moment? We’ve partnered with local yoga expert Julie Sanchez from Warrior One Yoga, who teaches us how to stay mindful with breathing and meditation. Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and calm your busy mind with Julie’s videos!
Holiday food = best food. Am I right?! Did you know that you can swap ingredients in your favorite dishes to make them healthier (and still delish)? Claire Brown, local Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and Plant-Based Cooking Instructor, is here to show us how. Tune in here!

Finally, let’s remember that the holidays are about the people we love. This year has been tough, and you might not be able to see family and friends in person. But that doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected to your loved ones. Schedule a virtual family dinner, mail cards and gifts, and cook a favorite family recipe. The holiday spirit knows no distance!
