We’re Wishing You Happy, Healthy, Holidays this December

With the holiday season upon us there are more than enough challenges to keep us from being healthy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves. Healthy holidays are about all the small choices you can make to end the year a healthier, happier you.

With too many parties, lots of crowds and stress, and little time to prepare a healthy meal or fit in some exercise, staying healthy can feel like a lot of work. Good news? It’s not about being perfect, but more about moderation and avoiding the pitfalls of the season. And it’s not only diet, but our physical and mental health as well. With Healthy West Orange recently completing our blog series on Mindfulness, you may want to use some of the tips to help combat the added stress and “drop in on yourself”. Also, there are some great tips on our fitness page to get you motivated and help combat the holiday bulge.

Finally, let’s remember the holidays are about the people we love. So take some time with your loved ones without stressing. Having some holiday treats once a year will not make or break your weight, and we can help you make those treats a whole lot healthier for you and your loved ones. All month long we’ll be here, helping you navigate all the challenges the season has to offer. And once the holidays are over, if you did overindulge,  we’ll be with you every step of the way to get right back on track.
