September was extra special this year as we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Healthy Selfie!

We asked our West Orange community to show us how they make healthy living part of everyday life—and you delivered! From biking and walking to spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, playing sports, and finding creative ways to stay active, your Healthy Selfies showed that there are countless ways to eat well, stay active, and enjoy life.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo, shared their healthy journey, and voted for their favorites. We loved seeing what healthy living looks like throughout our community!

A Healthy Selfie celebrates the many ways you take care of yourself and the people around you. It could be walking your dog, cooking with your family, swimming, hiking, gardening, biking, practicing yoga, playing sports, learning something new, meditating, or simply enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Healthy living looks different for everyone—and that’s what makes Healthy Selfie so much fun.

Virtual 5K Option:

Here’s how a virtual 5K works: register first, then complete 3.1 miles at your own pace, wherever you like, whenever you like from September 1-30. Bike the West Orange Trail, hike at Oakland Nature Preserve, rollerblade around your neighborhood, it all counts. If you want to break it up into smaller segments, go for it!

No need to submit your miles – we go by the honor system and are just here to encourage you to get moving. We always love when folks send in their finish line photos when they complete their 5K virtually!
